Sorry guys, I don't have a link for this but I have a buddy in the Red Wings organization who has some good sources.
Apparently there are four or five more contracts that the NHL has deemed "unacceptable" and will be reviewed by Bloch. I don't know the names, except for one. My source has informed me that an NHL financial oversight committee has discovered some critical and damning evidence, involving signed invoices, corporate purchase orders, and paid receipts pointing in the direction of undocumented and untaxed salary.
Supposedly (and this is unconfirmed, but the hearings and investigations WILL be underway shortly) there is strong evidence that at the end of the 1955 season, several truckloads of Stroh's were delivered to Gordie Howe's house in Detroit. No payment was received from Mr. Howe, however there are some faulty numbers in the Olympia's books from that season. Apparently over 300 kegs of Stroh's were purchased, while only 130 were ever accounted for and sold on to customers. The NHL is most likely going to fine the Detroit Red Wings and possibly take draft picks, while Mr. Howe is going to have to deal with the IRS.
I will update this story further when I hear back from my source.
