Pius who?

I had to check this guy out. Never drafted, always a FA walk on for tryouts.
He was getting entry level contract last year, after last year produced about 27 scoring points.

Now his salary went from entry to 3.25mill+ a year for those 27 points. Anyone else feeling a disconnect
on this?

hell of a contract for 55 career games. the benefit of not being drafted.
that being said, he was chicago's 4th highest scorer last year, and those 27 points would have put him first on the Wings. (holy smokes)
We'll see what he can do without a Kane and Debrincat on his line

in his first game against the Wings last year he scored a hattrick.
Stevie Y must have noticed. a risk, but only 2 years,

Also on pius suter … he hit his bonuses so he made 1.775 mill last season. And had calder votes (11th in voting i think ?)

I think he was in demand as a 25 year old ufa so stevie probably had to overpay … but not by much. I would have taken him on the canucks :noidea:

Pricey, but a guy I really wanted. The fancy stats are solid on him too.

His contract was a little high but all things looked good for him.

On the other hand look at the contract Tucker Poolman got. (yeah who?).

I would never want him on my team. Lots of red flags
The ask of picks and prospects equal to 4 first rounders is far too expensive even if everything goes perfect with his health and recovery.

Is this an all time off-season? Expansion draft and ensuing shenanigans, flat cap tradepalooza, Jack Eichel saga, Evander Kane rigging games, Rangers changing their entire organizational structure because of one player, MAF maybe or maybe not retiring. I mean this is right up there no?
