Johnny Boychuk, what a freaking gem. Was hit by Downie on one end awkwardly, decides to try to take out Geno's knee away from the puck a shift later. No PPs for the Pens all game (only one for the Isles all game, actually), and not really many egregious missed calls, but geeeeez...

Tough team those Pens.....in the regular season that is.

Well, I mean, the last time your team was relevant in the postseason it was with the Pens skating the Cup.

You'll notice the puck is nowhere to be found...and that Boychuk is about to skate down the boards, sees Malkin, changes his direction to make contact with the knee. Come on man.

I could say that Boychuk had no intention of hitting Malkin on that play, but I'd by lying.

And Boychuk saves the game in OT by pulling the puck off the goal line. Just LOVE when a chump who shouldn't be on the ice does that.

To be fair pix, Malkin has gotten away with his own fair share of transgressions in the past. Playing on the edge (and sometimes over it), pushing the limits etc.

And tonight I extra dislike them. Pens were the better team after the first period in that one, but can't start slow.

The way Bennett was dangling tonight, I would have used him over Sutter in the shootout for sure. I thought Bennett was the Pens' best player, probably the best player on the ice for either team.

Damn and the Jackets blow a 2-0 lead in the 3rd to loose in the shootout. Boys can't seem to grind one out this year

I especially loved how Julien was complaining that Lucic didn't even have his gloves off. I guess ol' Charlie Brown missed the chicken shit punch to the back of Prout's head.

Plus, when the fist comes like an Amtrak train, you don't have time to react and get the gloves off.

Prout had a hell of a game.

I'll take the point. Positive signs tonight, but still a ways to go. But getting a point when Bobrovsky forgets how to goalie in the third, that is good.

Julien complained about that? Looch was very clearly engaged to fight him. If you drop the stick and grab a dude's shoulder, you want to fight. Especially after punching said guy in the back of the head. Simple solution is to not fight...which was certainly an option for Lucic, seeing as he was the instigator.

Not to be nitpicky, but Looch didn't drop the stick, Prout swatted it out of his hands after Looch stuck him between the legs. Even if Lucic had his hands up screaming "I don't want to fight" he still earned that shot in the chops.

But yeah, Julien was yelling up an F-bomb laced storm.
