That's probably why they decided to go with Jonas Hiller tonight, obviously Chicago's a better team, but they're hoping the goaltending can keep them in the game

Russell bailed Wideman's ass out a couple of times last night in Nashville (bad pinch decisions by Dennis). Honestly, I hope Treliving can find a taker for him at the trade deadline (even if it means the Flames having to eat some salary).

The one positive regarding Engelland is his ability to play either forward or defense. That said, I didn't mind the signing until I saw the amount. Just because the Flames have plenty of cap room this season doesn't justify that contract. Oh well, he's an expensive stop gap until some younger guys emerge.
