Holtby number in playoffs are hard to ignore and in fact his game 7 numbers make me throw up as a caps fan. Great goalie but can't win on the big stage "yet". Hopefully this is the year.

You mean his save% and GAA average both being far better in the playoffs than regular season?

Wins that's what matters to me. I have seen my caps fold so many times in the playoffs after being awesome all year long. Yes it's a team game but I'll take Hull or luongo over Holtby any day of the week.

Hall wasn't real good in the playoffs and Luongo has played like 16 seasons and finished top 5 in Vezina voting 4 times Rinne 3 times in 10 years. .921 save% vs .918 save%.

Goaltenders from the 50's are the hardest to compare to todays players IMO. Obviously Hall was great though and I did say you were better I just dont see it as a slam dunk in your favor.

Nope I said we had a draw.

Shore is a top 10 all time and Kelly is the second best. So that right there is tough. Hedman and Barrie both shit on Dan Boyle lol.

i disagree i had Hedman and Barrie as weak choices... Now, again, i am only basing this on the stats i see... as i have no clue who they are...

K we all have our opinions. I have the homer capital glasses on but in this case I see my team (caps) for the negative come playoff time because we just can't get to the championship round.

And that right there is your issue. It's flat wrong. You could probably just google that lol

Defense is far more than stats.

And again if you are using them. Then my offense is worst than the holocaust in terms of destrucion.

The stats i used most for defense is plus/minus, defensive point score and overall point score... and focus on the players best seasons at those stats..

Well Kane just became about 50 times better then

He's about as clutch as they come

Or The Great 8 became even better since he is the one going against Holtby.

He'll be on the bench. Gionta and fucking Gomez won't even break the puck out of the zone to make a line change

You should keep both goalies on the bench and play 6 on 5. I will be playing 4 skaters and 2 goalies. I drafted 2 great goalies so I will play both at the same time.

Again there is more to it. Advanced stats. CORSI etc...

Seriously you could just google best defenseman in the nhl and probably everyone mentions Hedman extremely high.

Plus/Minus means almost nothing, what if your defender plays the point on the power play and your team has a great power play and he has 25 power play assists for the season, none of those count towards his +/-. What if that same defender had a less than average defenseman playing next to him or a weak goaltender playing behind him, he could be all world at back checking and moving the puck out of the zone and still be a -20 because of the players around him, there is so much more to being a good defender than points and +/-

I didn't say that it was the only stat... i gave 3 stats... but that is also just my starting... but i like plus/minus especially for defense as helping the goalie prevent opponents scoring is their biggest job...

Ritz just doesn't have the depth. I'm sorry:

He's got Gretzky. But Tangauy is easily the worst of our 6 guys on those two lines.

He's got Brett Hull. But Bergeron would be embarrassed by Mikita. Neal is just a stronger more physical sharp.

And his 3rd and 4th lines just don't come close. Looks at Gionta and and Gomez stats. Just not high point producing guys for a 3rd line.

Backstrom and wheeler on my 4th line are better.

Defense is a dead even edge.

Hall is the best goalie. But his numbers that we can see don't do much to Holtby. And both my goalies are better than Luongo.

My offensive depth is far too strong in this. Gretzky would have to be all world. And he's facing a top 5 all time player in Beliveau.

I agree with this. Ritz loses on the 3rd and 4th lines to me. Hockey

Seriously you could just google best defenseman in the nhl and probably everyone mentions Hedman extremely high.

Its hard to find an active list... you can only find a current list for 2016... there is a huge difference... i don't doubt he is one of the best playing right now at his current form... but this is careers not just who is best now...

Another thing i look at is the Norris, and how many top 5s or top 10s... and if ever a winner...
