Ties suck.

Especially playoff hockey. And then it's 5 on 5. And many times they go on for an extra 20-40 minutes.

Which proves why for regular season 3 on 3 is needed. But a pt has to be awarded for losing

Playoff OT is pretty much the best thing in sports. Absolutely thrilling sports really.

It's just asking too much during the regular season. But no ties is the important thing. Three on three isn't ideal, but it's a means to an end.

Ties are much to anticlimatic for the most exciting team sport on the planet. How come I have never seen you complain about NFL OT?

No doubt about the trill. It's truly death watching a playoff OT hockey game that you have an emotional investment in. Wild have been on the good(sorry mebert) and bad side of those. It's potentially an entire extra period or more of not being able to breathe. Back and forth chances.

3 on 3 provides entertainment and is simply better than a SO which is better than a tie. It was added to reduce shootouts and it worked. Pretty sure it's been a unanimous success around hockey. Even goalie acknowledge it.

Lots of speed can never hurt though. As long as the guys don't wear down.

It sucks having to make it 4 years in a row of being a last team in, but I'm just hoping the Wild get in. A 7 game series is kinda where our playing style excels were tough to match up with and with our penchant for close games our 5 on 5 abilities for OTs is good.

Unless we get those fucking Blackhawks again, they just find a way to win every damn time.
