Ritz Jr really making us wait.
Now that we are all hockey friendly let me ask everyone. Am I the only one who hates handing out a point for an OT loss? a loss is a loss in my mind.
Hockey is a sport since there isn't much scoring it produces overtime far more frequently than the other sports.
Teams would be getting fucked if they kept losing out on pts for 3 on 3 OT losses
I wonder how much of this is because you love Hockey and how much of it is because you love the Wild... lolzzz

Then again I probably brought it up because the OT loss is the only thing keep the Wild over the Avs at the moment.
Probably the fact that we are a far superior head to head and 5 on 5 hockey team actually lol
I must be confused by all those extra outright wins the Avs have then.......
Huh?
The wild have won a grand total of 2 games not in regulation or "outright".
We are the exact definition of team the excels under normal rules.
We are the 5th best 5 on 5 hockey team in the league. And of the top 12 were the only one fighting for our playoff lives.
Bad Penalty kill and bad in the areas used to decide a regular season game.
To put into football terms, Wild play 2/3 of the game, but have a terrible special teams. I don't really care how they would do if their kicker had not shanked all of those field goals, the are 31 and 26 and get awarded an extra 10 points for losing. I think a win is a win and a loss is a loss.
Dude you don't get it.
You don't play specia teams in Ot. It's THREE on THREE that isn't actually hockey. It's done solely so that a winner is decided.
If they stopped giving you a point for an OT loss. The games would stay 5 on 5(or 4 on 4) and never end. And the wild would be fine.
Your argument doesn't work
We're finding playoff caliber teams. Which team is more playoff caliber? The one who excels against anyone 5 on 5 or the team who wins tied games in SOs which don't happen in the playoffs.
While the rules of the game have 3 on 3 that is part of the game. The regular season is about finding the best team within the rules. If your GM left you weak for 3 on 3 that is on him. I get what you are saying, but you can't say an entire aspect of the season does not count because it is not hockey enough for you.
We should not move a team on just because they collected the most participation ribbons.
