Anybody else drop 21 places in the standings in the past week?

Actually, I think I've gone up, but losing Ovechkin and Backstrom pretty much killed any hope of finishing in the top 10. Picking a couple of Ducks players didn't help the cause.

I actually did pretty well... then I lost Green, Backstrom, and OV. Something tells me Franzen, Lidstrom, and Datsyuk might be on their way out soon too.

I really didn't look at the scoring system, just picked some players I thought would make the conference finals (which is why picking Ducks players was a mistake). Next year I'm going to do the same thing I do for fantasy football.

Edit: I'm 13th, so it isn't all that bad considering it's my first time playing this type of pool.

with bigger rosters, you generally pick your final 4 teams.
something like this, I think you've got to pick 2 finalists.

If Boston doesn't collapse, I should win this thing for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Sorry Rob. :peep:

Sorry Rob. :peep:

Chara could get hungry and eat St. Louis and Stamkos and then be out indefinitely with indigestion.

You never know :twitch:

Not squirming at all buddy. I'm in 11th and have a chance to crack the op 10 before it's all done. Not bad for my first time playing this type of pool. Maybe you'll give me a chance at revenge and play the fantasy football league? I finished 2nd in that in my first time playing FF and probably would have won had I not lost 3 or 4 starters right before the playoffs.

I'm all for giving you a chance at revenge, but definitely not fantasy football. Too much goddam work for this lazy ass.

Actually, fantasy football is the easiest fantasy of the 4 major sports, that's why I play it. You're only setting your roster for 1 game a week, unlike hockey, basketball, and especially baseball. I might give hockey a try next year. I think it's cool because you're the owner, GM, and coach of the team.
