First you hit with your shoulder or your body his stick wasnt to his face. Now I can go on You tube find body checks where skates come off the ice with the follow though. Its actually pretty common. Just because Shattikirk didnt pay attention to his own stick and whacked himself in the face is not an excuse to be a thug. But that is the Blues they bitch more then they play.

Im not questioning Hitchcock as a coach or the level of talent they have on the ice, but they do all the pesky things other teams do but act like what did I do when they are called for it and the fans are no different.

He was great in the Olympics. He's a vocal leader, albeit not the softest player in the league, but he's far from the dirtiest, he throws the body around, he's good at protecting the puck. He's a player i'd love to have on our team
