:agree:

I'd draft him though in the 4th. We have too many picks not to find it in us to act aggressive with our approach in the draft. I can see him and Spillman battleling it out to be our best gunners on the squad/NFL. He is a future starter IMO. He's tenacious and also has a nose for the ball (keen sense to make the critical plays). Which is why I think he's worth a 4th round pick for a team that possess a total of 19 draft picks (with Alex Smith trade). I agree with Sick though, a 5th is where he should be drafted, but he won't last that long for us, forcing us to use one of our fourth round picks on him.

I wouldn't have a problem with drafting him in the 4th, it is when we talk about 3rd rounders that I start to worry. It is looking like he really raised his draft stock today.

Looks like Milliner solidified his spot. I didn't see, did Trufant not run?

Other thoughts: Mathieu might of helped himself a lot today, depending on his interviews (4.43 is faster than advertised). Elam running a 4.4 is faster than I thought he would be.

Alford and Amerson are two guys I'll be watching over and over. They will replay the combine for a month straight on NFLNW. Those two guys would work well in our scheme IMO. Rhodes too, but he will not last that long in the 2nd round for us to draft him.

It is funny because they were just talking about him knocking himself out in the bowl game aganst WV and then he faceplants at the finish line. Great time though.

Rhodes unofficial 4.41 would easily take over Millner

Damn, and he's a big dude. If that's official, we have to get him in the first. He's almost like the Knile Davis of DBs in terms of size speed ratio. I'm more interested to see their #s for the 3-cone drill, and shuttle times.

4.38 with a faceplant.
lol

Just looked at some film after that faceplant. Shamarko Thomas looks like a guy I wouldn't mind taking in the 6th or 7th. Definitely looks like a guy who could be a really good ST gunner. The niners were missing that opposite Spillman after they traded Colin Jones last year.

Yeah, the 40 times are nice for straight line speed, but I want to see how fluid they are. Taylor Mays ruined the 40 for me, even though I knew he would suck as a pro, the fact that they spent a 2nd rounder on him will sting for a long time.

He ran 4.41 again Bingo but pulled up at the end so he probably not running 3-cone or shuttle

Xavier Rhodes another 4.41 but he pulled his hammy. Don't think we'll see him again.

I want to see him in other drills. I'd like to see how fluid and quick he is in comparison to guys like Trufant.
