They probably will- looking at his experience with the Chiefs right here- but there is no need for us to go out and sign him.some team will sign him.

I,d prefer to see them in games that count first. It's still too early, but could this be the best QB class in a long time?, Possibly ever?

NFL Rookie QB Report: Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels Flash in First Starts, J.J. McCarthy Shines Off the Bench
The first week of NFL preseason action …
probably like a cfg with harder hits.good start for JJ as you would hope for a guy going up against 2nd/3rd team guys as all the qbs were . none fell flat on their faces which is a good sign
Best me to it
saw it on sc around 4am.Best me to it
Atlanta is in a win-win situation right now. Penix will command starter's right and that makes Kirk's trade value go way up next year no matter what happens this year. The rich get richer!![]()

If I'm Kirk I'm pissed. They passed on Odunze, Bowers, and Latu. I get it from Atlanta's pov but they should have been up front with Kirk.Atlanta is in a win-win situation right now. If I'm Kirk, I'm thrilled!! He's gone from a bad team to a good one and now from a good one to a better one, while being paid a kings ransom at eveyvstop. Make no mistake, this year's Atlanta team is very talented, and if health isn’t an issue, they are going to win a ton of games with him. To me it was a stroke of brilliance drafting Penix and signing Cousins. If I'm Kirk I'm pissed. They passed on Odunze, Bowers, and Latu. Good long-term move for the Falcons, but when you pay that kind of money to Kirk, pairing Pitts with Bowers or getting Odunze in there with London would have made them even more dangerous. If I'm Kirk, I'm thrilled!! Man, you guys make it difficult for an old guy, so, once again apologies to@Dad when I suggest that perhaps the Falcons are waiting to "see what they have" before further bolstering their roster.Good long-term move for the Falcons, but when you pay that kind of money to Kirk, pairing Pitts with Bowers or getting Odunze in there with London would have made them even more dangerous.
Honestly if I'm Atlanta, I'm wondering why they didn't just draft Penix, and use the money they paid Kirk to bolster the roster. They win the South but I'm puzzled at their approach.
Definitely would have been a gamble. Don't recall anyone pre-draft saying Penix was a top 10 pick. QBs always go early though. They acquired Kirk not knowing that Penix would be available at pick #8. I had him as the 2nd best QB in the draft behind Williams and Daniels a coin flip for the 1 spot, essentially tied. The only reason why he fell to 8 was because of his injury issues. You don't pass on that kind of talent when he's sitting there when it's your time on the clock. The money is now a one year deferment, if/when they trade Kirk in 2025 for a massive haul in draft pick and/or players.
I just recall him being left handed and lots of college injuries.Definitely would have been a gamble. Don't recall anyone pre-draft saying Penix was a top 10 pick. QBs always go early though. If I'm Kirk, I'm still pissed.
I told the entire board about Penix very early on. Dude is an assassin when protected.Definitely would have been a gamble. Don't recall anyone pre-draft saying Penix was a top 10 pick. QBs always go early though. If I'm Kirk, I'm still pissed.
