he looked good against jacksonville but that was it.he lost to the titans by throwing a pick at the goaline and that was it.against the brownshe threw 3 picks and was getting sacked a lot.the came off the bench in sf and did,nt do much better than heinke.rr was a dumbass for wasting draft picks on him with the colts.

I am not arguing that he played like crap last year. I am arguing that he played he played better for Baltimore the year before and I agree they did not need to trade for him. That is what dad was upset about last year, Baltimore was most likely going to cut him.

Wentz did not play as bad for the Colts as he did for the Redskins. Wentz went south just as the Colts were about to make the playoffs with the Colts, but he caught COVID around the same time.

I am not going to say Wentz could have been a star but between RR screwing up the OLine and Turner they sure didn't help him.

Wentz can play in this league. He gets crap because he was the number 1 pick. Certainly didn't live up to that, especially post injuries, but to think he doesn't deserve to be a backup somewhere is foolish.

Why is it foolish? He was incredibly bad last season, averaging less than 16 ppg. His record was atrocious while his backup came in and won.

I dont know if I agree with that assessment. Three different teams cut bait after a limited time working with him. He stunk in Indy when he was needed the most, and was equally putrid here in DC at inopportune times.

I cant think of a reason to pick up wentz who is almost a guarantee to suck at inopportune times as opposed to take your chances with a less experienced, less established youngster.

You’re absolutely right about that. On the other hand, three+ years have passed since he looked good as a starter, which is 3 years of new, young qbs to enter the league.

If Reid signs him in KC, then that would be a heckuva statement however.

Wentz was better in Indianapolis ..... Wentz is no star but as a back up he is as good or better than many. He got hung out to dry here in Washington but he didn't do much to help himself either.
