Would you say he is worth a 5th Niner?

From the reports I've seen there isn't much of a market at all. The Niners would be trading him at his absolute lowest value. So a 5 sounds about right.

The reports I saw don't back that up. If Kyle didn't want Lance, there is no way Lynch is trading away so much to get him.

Yep, Simmons was the 8th overall pick in 2020. Crazy athletic. The question was whether he'd be a LB or S. And now he's being shipped out for a 7th rounder. Maybe he and Trey Lance can swap stories.

I can't find any discussion of what the terms of any trade would've been, but Just as with Jimmy, the Niners waited too long to trade Lance.

Joe Mixon has troubles for the 2nd or 3rd year in a row. Sty and I went tooth and nail over this guy before he was drafted. My position is what he did in college is who he is and at that time a much less troubled Washington team could not draft him. Sty's position was "he made a mistake and was worth drafting." After 6 years who was right .... both of us. Who was right? Both of us, Mixon was valuable to the Bengals with 5,000+ yards and 40 TDs. Now he is having legal issues two straight years similar to his college days. He would cost $9 million plus in dead cap money this year and a little over $2 million next year. I'd say we were both right.
