A lot of other coaches, including Bill and Andy would have punched it in to send a message to their next opponent.

I don't have a dog in the hunt, but sitting there in the stands, drunk as hell from a day of drinking tequila, and drinking the two pints of Southern Comfort 100 proof I snuck in the game tucked in my boots, I was hoping they would punch the ball in and whoever scored, do the Dirty Bird for old times sake and face the Seahawks bench and give the international "suck it" sign.

Yep. Me and some of my old buddies from high school. We were in the nose bleeds, and had to tailgate like a mile away from the Dome because we didn't have any parking passes, but we were there.

People were going crazy as the game closed out...wanted Seattle to win but happy for Atlanta fans.

It was loud from the second quarter on. Falcon fans were a little nervous after Seattle marched down the field on their opening possession, but it was deafening after the Falcons took the lead until the end of the game. My voice is completely gone today.

Why would they do that? These two teams don't hate each other and Pete Carroll and Dan Quinn are good friends. The Falcons would have come off looking like sore winners if they'd pulled a stunt like that. They did it right and showed class and good sportmanship. Good for them, I hope they can go all the way now and win the SB.

Because I was hammered and that's what I was hoping for at the time. But it's ALWAYS better to be a sore winner than a good loser.
