A Special Freshman Back, and Then Came the Injuries

Those injuries are why the San Francisco 49ers chose clips from Gore’s freshman season when they showed his college highlights before their playoff victory over Green Bay last weekend. That was when, with his knees still unscarred and while splitting time with McGahee and Portis as a true freshman, he averaged 9.1 yards per carry.

Gore needs 3,407 to pass James.

As soon as I typed that in two teams popped into mind - Oakland and San Diego. I would guess a fair amount of 49ers fans make the trip to those two teams for obvious reasons. Are there any others that we know of?

We get a great turnout here in AZ

the apocalypse is here...Collinsworth said something very positive about the 49ers. I hope the team is practicing this week with blinders on and don't feed on the media hype. I'm sure the terrible taste in their mouth after that Giants loss last year will be enough motivation to get their heads in the right place though.

Thanks. I have heard that a couple times before. Feels like the Cardinals stadium always has alot of the opposition in it.

Ya they really do, AZ has a lot of people from the East coast like me for instance.

The Cards fans do show up but sometimes its like a 50/50 or 60/40 split on some teams. Which is why my friend always uses the word "embarrasing".

Matt Barrows:

Delanie Walker estimates he caught 500 balls from the JUGS machine this week. He turned it to the highest level to mimic Kaepernick.

The real question is, how many did he drop!?!?
