From my review if SF wins the Super Bowl, they would be the first team to finish 3rd in their division to win a Super Bowl.

Past wildcard teams to win the Super Bowl:
- 1980 Raiders #4 seed finished 2nd in AFC West
- 1997 Broncos #4 seed finished 2nd in AFC West
- 2000 Ravens #4 seed finished 2nd in AFC Central
- 2005 Steelers #6 seed finished 2nd in AFC North
- 2007 NYG #5 seed finished 2nd in NFC East
- 2010 Packers #6 seed finished 2nd in NFC North
- 2020 Bucs #5 seed finished 2nd in NFC South

Not surprising. A few times (7, I believe) 3 teams from one division got in but to win from that spot is tough for sure.
