Another huge opportunity here tonight. The Isles are coming off a heartbreaking, late loss last night in Pittsburgh. Now we have them at home and all of our main rivals in the standings are on the road in difficult areas to get a win. I expect at least the Devils to go down in San Jose, if not the Rags as well in Nashville, so a win here puts us in prime position to take over a playoff spot in our next game against a Florida team that we beat in the middle of our slump.

I just hope we come out and play a better first period than we did on thursday or this could be a tough game to stomach.

We may also face Anders Nilsson, a 23 year old, 6'5" Swede with only 3 Nhl starts to his name (all of them two seasons ago), since Poulin played last night and Nabby is out with a groin injury.

While we're on the topic of goalies, now that Emery was able to play well in a win over Buffalo, saving Mason for this game suddenly looks like a genius move by Berube. We need this one! Let's go out and get it!!

Flyers need to come out and jump to an early lead! Don't give the Isles any chance of winning this game, score a few goals early on and take all the life out of them

Put Couturier up against the Tavares line and lock it down. Other than maybe Nielsen and Cizikas, they don't have anyone outside of that top line scoring right now. They also can't keep the puck out of their net with a below average backup as the starter, an Ahl goalie as the backup, a 28th ranked goals against average and 30th ranked penalty kill.

Realistically, this is a team we should stomp as they've lost 7 of their last 9 all in regulation and we already pretty much own them even when they're playing well. Like I said in another thread, the schedule highly favors us this month and we need to continue to take advantage of that fact.

I hope they pounce on em early and often, keep the pressure on from the first whistle and don't let up. If they can get the win tonight its a new season as they finally will reach .500 after the horrid start to the season. Keep on doing what is working, lets go boys!

Cizikas only has 3 goals and 5 points in 23 games, he's not a big factor - but Frans Nielsen has always been good so they'll have to watch out for him, but agreed about their offense

Defensively, Andrew MacDonald and Travis Hamonic are good but the rest of them are not and they have to pounce on their 2nd and 3rd pairings

26:27 and 25:02 - those are the minutes that those top two d-men play per game respectively, the Isles work those guys to the ground

While that's true, he has 3 goals and 4 points in his last 4 games, which would qualify as scorching hot for him...lol

Just keep rolling all four lines and they'll grind out most teams. Just keep the penalties down please....and they'll take this one.
