Flyers lead 3-1 after two periods, but the Isles got some momentum as the period went on - Flyers need to have a strong third period

Very nice recovery on the last Islander goal and the empty netter for good measure.

Nice win for the Flyers tonight - they got the goals when they needed it and it was nice to see everyone contribute - once again a few too many penalties and they let the Isles get back in it so that's something they'll have to work on - but nice win regardless!

Basically, we need to work on the lull that seems to commonly set in after we attain a sizable lead in games. We've shown great resiliency by putting teams away in the third period after they fight back, but I think we'd like to close games out earlier than that instead. The scoring has been clutch though as of late, especially in that final stanza. You can't argue with it. I'm talking about Schenn tonight, Lecavalier against Buffalo, Timonen and Simmonds against Ottawa, Schenn at Pittsburgh and Giroux/Lecavalier against Edmonton. All clutch third period goals.

No doubt, each game, they have that knockout goal or two that ends it and it goes to show you the knack they have for understanding the moment and how they need to seize it

I don't recall seeing any trade read posts, he has consistently been a good player all year.

They were popping up here and ther when they looked like dog shit at the beginning, no one wanted to get rid of him but when people wanted change his name(expendible due to contract I guess, Im just guessing) along with Cooter & B Schenn's names always got brought up. It's all water under the bridge now as he isn't going anywhere anytime soon because of his performance thus far, he's defied all the odds his whole career and has prospered and he is playing with alot of confidence now.
