Just because Washington made a habit of signing guys who came here for no other reason than the money does not mean that every player will go into the worst possible situation for a few extra Million.
If it were that easy, The Browns would never have a problem attracting Free Agents, because they generally have plenty of cap space. Cousins is still young for a QB. And if he plays this right he has another 8-10 years to play. Why risk another possible $90M via the third contract, to make an extra $15M going to someplace liable to end your career?
its an extra GUARNETTED Million. That is what makes the difference. You cant ask KC to predict what is going to happen on his 2nd contract. All these guys want security. So if its an extra 5-10mg he has to take it. Its rare that Qb;s last over 10 years like you are suggesting.
