Also, Miles Wood was even more impressive in person. He needs to learn some control, but he and Hall were light years ahead of their team out there with speed and effort.

yea, Wood all speed.... needs practice and reps with puck handling but for a young gun? thats easily acceptable.

Similar, i imagine, with soon to be McCleod.

Kalinin waived The purge begins!

Devils really haven't had that dominating two way physical forward since holik and to a lesser extent rupp.

when you have cam sitting for two games in the press box as a healthy scratch that tells you all you need to know about his future here. that being he doesn't have one that the team should get out from his deal as soon as possible.

hes rolston 2.0 right now

He's got a no trade clause. He would have to waive it. Maybe sitting him is a way to send out a message to consider waiving the NTC.

His trade value is down but the cap relief might be worth it if someone is willing to take him. We need to utilize that cap space though.

If I was reading correctly the Devils have 9 million in cap space? Get cam off the books whatever it takes that's another 5. Throw a 7 year 55 million to shatenkirk

And even that's probably inflated since the Clowe and Savard contracts technically don't count (I believe we can go over the cap by that amount). So there's plenty of cap room and no major re-signs looming.

Would have been a better idea if it weren't Bennett playing in his spot. kids a waste of a roster space

They looked so good tonight mostly in the 3rd, got a lead, and blew it once again.

Same shit, different game.

Who is ready for a fire sale over the next 2 days?

Everyone has effectively killed their trade value. Camm may have netted us a decent pick if he was scoring at his usual rate, Parenteau hopefully gets us a similar deal like last year with Stempniak, outside of those 2 I don't know what redeemable parts we have that are tradeable.

he was one of my most likely moves.... then he played the NYI....

he has given up 14 goals in his last 3...(losses)

Was looking at that, numbers weren't bad until recently. Still 2.81 gaa and .913 sv% despite those blow ups.

Vancouver just got a stud prospect for Alex Burrows, hoping Shero works some magic here.
