I don't understand why. Beasley, Dupree, and Ray will all be there when they pick. Unless they want Williams but that is going to cost them. If Williams and Fowler go #3 and #4, that would mean the WR's are there. Cle would trade up for a WR but do we really want to go to #12? It would be hilarious is Sherff is still there at #12. I hope we get Fowler, Williams, or Cooper.

I would much rather have Dupree then Fowler

Why would it be Hilarious?? Scherff played his entire year basically hurt and STILL is considered a much better O-lineman than Morgan the Red Sea Moses who you were DIEING to draft.

It wouldn't be crazy that Fowler is possibly Atlantas target. Dan Quinn coached and recruited Fowler back in his Fl days. 'Effecting the QB' is a big part of his defensive philosophy and he's watched Fowler and knows him better than most. Maybe he sees exactly what skills he wants for his ideal pick.

I don't want to go to 12. That's too low for my blood. I don't think I could stomach coming off of winning 7 games in two years and leaving the draft with Flowers, while passing up guys like Williams, Cooper, White, Scherff, and maybe Fowler Jr. That just doesn't sit right with me.

Like I said if we are going to trade 5 for 12 and 19, I am going to need more.

First of all Dupree over Fowler is laughable. 2nd Shark, if Scherff gets out of the top 10 I would find it amusing. Again Moses was not considered a top 10 pick so why the comparison? Many viewed Moses as a late 1st 2nd round pick. We got him early third so of course I was happy.

I agree kbso, quantity doesn't always equal quality. Passing on guys like Fowler, Williams, and Cooper would be a mistake. Just my opinion.

He's comparing Schreff to Moses because Moses is what we have currently. Let me go out on a limb and assume you weren't dieing to pick Moses with a top 5 pick and that of course is the issue here.

I'm settling on the preference of Williams followed by Fowler followed by Cooper. I've totally changed my mind on Fowler after learning more. He is not 240, he is like 275. That means he can very much be a 3 down player at either DE or OLB. He also has a chance to be great, a real game changing type of player. I really see him as our pick and I'd be very happy with that selection.

Again pass rushers are as big of a need as OL when you examine the roster. Murphy is a nice player but he will never be a pass rusher teams need to account for. So that leave Ryan Kerrigan and the only pass rusher on this team and nobody is confusing Kerrigan with Von Miller. When you only have one guy to worry about you can shade protection to account for him. With a guy like Williams, Fowler and some of the other OLBs in this draft that changes things considerably

I have heard all sorts of things locally about the Falcons...of course none of it coming from Flowery Branch.

Word is they really like Fowler as a DE since Quinn coached him @ FL, and Beasley as an OLB (kind of a Von miller role)...I'm guessing those guys a 1-2 on their board.

Don't be shocked to see them take Dupree is those guys are gone...they feel he can play both DE and OLB.

Unless it's Fowler or Beasley...I don't expect the Falcons to move up.

I also heard a rumor floated that Bruce Irvin (Seattle is likely not picking up his 5th year option) might be in play for Atlanta.
