It's not all that surprising. It's also a really dumb design no matter who pulls it off. The only way it'd look somewhat decent is if you have a hoss (like Brock) or someone really strong (like Claudio) performing it on a smaller person. You need to be able to swing the person around and hit the DDT in one fluid motion. 90% of wrestlers, male or female, aren't gonna be able to do that move without it looking anywhere from a little silly to really fucking dumb

Yes.

It’s why womens wrestling needs to look different than mens.

They aren’t strong or athletic enough for a large set of moves

Otherwise it’s no different than asking why the wnba doesnt play like nba players do

I seem to remember reading something saying he signed a 7 year deal back in 2018. Maybe that was wrong? Maybe he's feeding false info to play into the loser leaves Japan match? Or maybe he really is gonna be a free agent. If its the latter, he can do well in either AEW or WWE. Provided that HHH stays in creative control (totally not certain), I think I'd like to see him more in WWE. He could slide right into that AJ Styles role back when he debuted for them. He'd be good in AEW, but its also a little bit crowded there already.

AJ already had a major footprint in America from the TNA era, plus DB had created a ton of momentum for an undersized indie darling but was out with injury, plus AJ was arguably the best in ring performer of his generation..

I can't see White having a role similar to the one AJ had from 2016-2018

Went to the Capital Collision show last night. I felt like it was a pretty solid show with a good crowd that was vocal all night. Okada of course got the biggest pop while Eddie Edwards got booed the most. The two matches I enjoyed the most were ZSJ vs Tom Lawlor and Ishii vs Desperado.

Danielson/Okada 2 was really good.

Kinda wild that Dolph Ziggler popped up in NJPW. Wonder if its just a couple matches here or there or more a full time gig

I would assume it's probably just a part time gig that it'll be something like what Moxley does and that he's probably signed to another promotion here in the states and just hasn't debuted yet.

Can't say that I'm surprised. There's really nothing left for him to do in New Japan and with the Yen being low right now, he should make the good money here in the states while he still has years left to go at a good rate.

Not NJPW related but important enough to share

AJPW's Yutaka Yoshie passes away following match in Takasaki
