Another one likely out of the G1 this year. I figure it has to be a single bracket this year with only 10 men instead of the 20 it normally is.

:gaah: Does Gedo realize that everyone that turns heel doesn’t always have to join the fucking Bullet Club?!?!?!

Couple of other things. A Chase Owens/Yano match should NEVER be going 28 minutes. 10-15 minutes would be better.
Sucks that the main event went under 20 minutes but I at least understand why since Ibushi has been gone for a bit and is probably just trying to work the ring rust off for the G1.

Got to say, overall, not the most exciting field they’re putting out there this year. There’s going to be a lot of skippable matches.

Of course the one guy that I have never seen the big deal about wins the US belt last night. Figures, since he just joined Bullet Club. Overall, glad I didn’t attend the show and decided on sleep instead.

Must have been his reward for re-signing

Can't say I'm surprised. Suzuki hasn't been around nearly as much this past year and is on the down side of his career. Also, they've been treated as an afterthought stable for quite a while since they're always going to keep Bullet Club as a focal point, LIJ will always be popular with the fans as long as Naito is around, same goes with CHAOS with Okada being around and they've been pushing United Empire a lot the past year or so. Surprised Suzuki didn't try to hand it off to Taichi to be honest since he was there from the beginning and has improved a lot the past couple of years.

Yeah, it’d be easy to think that way since they’ve been an afterthought for quite a while now. Any heels always joined either BC or UE. I’m thinking Suzuki goes into the old man role now. Don’t know what they’ll do with the others that were in the faction.

Haven't been following NJPW much this year as in years past, but I gotta say, this WK card looks pretty good

I’m the same way. The Bullet Club stuff has been old for a while now. For this show, there really doesn’t seem to have a lot of matches that had a lot of build to them.
I would like to watch that Nakamura/Muta match from Noah the other night though.

It's a fun match. Lots of spectacle and theater, which is to be expected given Muta's age, but enjoyable. The finish was pretty cool

From the reaction it sounded like 8 people knew who Sasha Banks was.

Only watched the Omega/Ospreay and White/Okada matches so far, but both were excellent. No surprise that they were, just saying.

Kinda surprised Omega won though. Maybe setting up a series of matches that ends at Forbidden Door 2?

From the clips I've seen, yeah, it looks like a clunky debut. Mostly her finisher(?) looks kinda wack. But Japanese crowds are kinda weird right now. Since covid, they've had rules about no cheering/chants that they've only recently relaxed. A lot of the crowds are somewhat muted because they're still hesitant to cheer.

Her botching moves isn’t anything new

It’s not like this out of order for her

It's not all that surprising. It's also a really dumb design no matter who pulls it off. The only way it'd look somewhat decent is if you have a hoss (like Brock) or someone really strong (like Claudio) performing it on a smaller person. You need to be able to swing the person around and hit the DDT in one fluid motion. 90% of wrestlers, male or female, aren't gonna be able to do that move without it looking anywhere from a little silly to really fucking dumb
