Odd isn't it? 20 years ago a pitcher would get a sore arm and they'd immediately stick a needle in his shoulder and pump the joint with 200ML of cortisone. Over those 20 years, they found that cortisone actually masked the damage that was caused by continuing to use that arm, so they injected more. pretty soon, about half of the pitchers in baseball had retired an were working for TV networks if they could speak English.
