If Cone pointed it out they heard. Supposedly he was the runner up to Boone for the job. It could be that whenever he hits a rough patch he reverts to old habits.

I wish they had hired him as pitching coach. I wonder if he would've been more successful with Gray, as they have a ton of similarities (although it seems those similarities are from the neck down)

I don't think fatigue is the issue with Severino, it's his mechanics. David Cone points it out every start, and it's plain as day, but apparently no one on the crack Yankee staff has noticed.
i just looked. wow

8.84 ERA over his last 4, 10.00 over his last 3.

yikes.

Chris Sale is one of the best pitchers in baseball and the OP is a fucking moron. None of this is news.

I wish Chris Sale was on an NL East team. Braves have touched him up for 6 runs both times they faced him.

#FreddieFreeman'sbitch

HEY, MOTHERFUCKER! Don't you be trying to muscle in on Chief Wahoo's bitch!

The Braves might have put together a couple of nice games against Sale, but the Indians have been fucking that pussy for 120 innings.

You should start comparing him to Pedro again. That went well last year.

it did. compare pedros '99 vs sales 17 (the years i was using)

both finished 2nd in the CY
both fanned approx 100 more batters than IP (over 300 k's)
similar WHIPS

pedros ERA was ridiculous tho

ERA+ was a gap too

Pedro didn't get 2nd, he won the CY in '99.

Those seasons aren't comparable.

One was one of the best single seasons in the history of baseball, the other wasn't even the best season that season.

yeah, the screen jumps around on me loading on BBR. i had 98 by accident. and his 2000 was better than 99. i was blessed to have pedro as a keeper every year in boston.

still, metrics are metrics. numbers are one thing that are difficulty to dispute.

oh, and yes they certainly are comparable.

sale...
fanned over 100 more guys than IP - check
led the league in FIP - check
led the leage in IP - check
led the league in K's - check
sub 1.00 WHIP? you betcha
K's/9 - nearly identical
hits/9 - nearly identical

the only major differences were wins and ERA/ERA+. sale was on track ERA wise til he floundered late.

so as i stated, when comparing raw metrics between the 2 seasons, they are comparable.

No.

No rational person would say that Sale's 2017 and Pedro's 1999 are comparable.

I'm not wasting any more time on this nonsense.
