I think dropping the helmet from the logo sends the opposite message about player safety that the league is trying to push. What type of message are you sending to the children by having a Dolphin play without a helmet? I mean the old one didn't even have a facemask or shoulder pads which was bad enough, but now they're just being reckless.

The old logo was perhaps a bit too "cute", but it was a classic. Don't fix what isn't broken. They still could have updated the logo without a complete change..that's how my Cardinals and Blues do it!
