I think dropping the helmet from the logo sends the opposite message about player safety that the league is trying to push. What type of message are you sending to the children by having a Dolphin play without a helmet? I mean the old one didn't even have a facemask or shoulder pads which was bad enough, but now they're just being reckless.

The old logo was perhaps a bit too "cute", but it was a classic. Don't fix what isn't broken. They still could have updated the logo without a complete change..that's how my Cardinals and Blues do it!

The mean dolphin wearing the helmet is one of the worst logos in all of sports. People hate on the winking Bucco Bruce but the old dolphin is far worse to me. At the end of the day, I can't say that I'm diggin it either but it's a vast improvement. Hopefully when the move to LA they'll dump the color scheme and name.

that's how the Phish have done it too. they've changed logos 5 times now, this one being the most drastic but the last one was pretty drastic too. that's when they tried to make the dolphin look mean with no success!!
