New Division Alignment

Nashville to the SE doesn't make a whole lot of sense. They are in a different Time Zone and both Detroit and Columbus are further East. It's actually almost even with Chicago too.

Colorado to the Pacific
Dallas to the Central
Nashville to the SE

Some further news on the topic from Pierre Lebrun...

Realignment would very likely wait another year, meaning Winnipeg would play one season in the Southeast Division, because the league believes all board members deserve a say on the matter. All kinds of scenarios are in play. This might be a chance to do a massive overhaul of the league's divisions and conferences, not just switch one team with another, a source told ESPN.com Friday.

Interesting. We might see some major changes after all. I'm excited for a possible reuniting with some of the old Patrick Division rivals. We'll have to wait and see.

This is the one I see happening. I could also see Minny moving to the Central as it would affect fewer teams. But unless they get rid of divisions and just go with an East and a West conference Nashville is the only team I can see moving to the Southeast.

If you look at it from a division perspective it actually makes the most sense. If you only look at it from the perspective of east and west conferences then no it doesn't make the most sense.

Agreed. It would be a foolish thing to do for several reasons. That being said, the Pacific Division should really be called the Southwest Division.

Well, if we were to rejoin the Atlantic or whatever they'd call it, it would likely be because Pittsburgh has moved to a different division.
