Tressel/frost-HC in wating makes zero sense to me. It means somewhere down the line we are planning to hand the program over to someone who, once again, has zero college HC experience.

Money wouldn't be the issue. It's the "coach in waiting" thing that seldom pans out. Let's assume for a minute that the vest is hired and he does turn the program around. You're going to dump him if he does that (after his 5 year contract is up) and hand the reins over to Frost?

And if the contract that is signed is similar to what Pelini got, it would be a rollover contract that would go on and on until Tressel wants to retire. That's why I'd be very surprised if the Tressel/Frost tandem is THE done deal.

I think he's completely full of shit, but this is the information he got.

It doesn't make sense on another level. You're going to pay Tressel 6-7 million to coach but "oh wait" you cannot choose all your assistants you have to include Frosty. I'd be very suprised if The Vest would go along with that. Our new HC may be Tressel BUT not the Dynamic Duo.
