Tom, as Nebraska fan with deep Omaha roots, your avi made me both smile and nauseous. :suds:

Makes me want to punch whole in the wall and my grandfather was a head coach at Creighton

So not even long enough to purge Bo's recruits from the program? Seems legit.
3 years is long enough to know what direction the team is going and if players are being developed.

As for your seems legit that is a perfect example of how you can't disagree without disrespecting.

I don't think SE will take a chance. If we go the same route and get the same results. Bye bye

He can't focus on what happened in the past, other than not repeating mistakes. He has to go with what he thinks has the best chance of success, because if this goes badly, no matter who he chooses, he will probably be leaving with the new coach.

I was resistant to the idea at first but if chip Kelly's ideas can translate to the NFL and trickle down to Helfrich then why can't Frost carry the torch? It's a good fit and I wouldn't be upset if we went in that direction.

I'm not too worried about Bo, he's a good DC with the right talent, many opportunities out there for him. I'm more concerned with the nerdy guy in the back of the room who never says a lot but has a lot of power and no one has any idea what he's got up his sleeve

oak thanks for the long post on some thoughts from Frost. Reading it makes me have more respect for the guy and that maybe he would be able to surround himself with the right assistants. That's my biggest concern with Frost is that we will have the same learning period we had with Bo.

How would you guys feel about Frost at HC and Gill at OC? he spoke pretty highly of both Gill and Ron Brown in that post and so he'd definitely keep Brown around. He then would need to get a great DC, Muschamp maybe.

at one time didn't we all want Gill as HC?

I want to make it clear from me,

After Solich, I have no idea who I wanted, but it wasn't Turner. I thought Turner needed more experience. But I did want a guy with head coach experience.

after Callahan I ONLY wanted Bo Pelini because of what he did in 2003.

In 2013, I got off of the Bo bandwagon, mostly because of the recordings. Those were his true thoughts, and he never changed.

Now, I want a proven head coach and recruiter. Frost does intrigue me though because of his past at Oregon.

Since it is Barney, take whoever the opponent is on a bet.

The O line will be falling over. The O line will be false starting. The O line will NOT be flagged for holding because the defenders will be by them before the O line knows what is going on.

There won't be any passing as the tight ends have no idea what to do right now, so the receivers will just be doing whatever.

I expect the offensive players to just be calling plays in the astro-dirt and the defense will just all blitz 100%.

If I was a player, this would be a fun game for me.

Now, if Ameer steps up and does some class stuff, I would gladly play my best for Ameer Abdullah, Kenny Bell, Randy Gregory, and Zaire Anderson. Time for them to actually lead the team.
