New CBS members

Despite being a diehard Longhorn alumni.

I am a closet TERRAPIN fan. I love the ACC basketball and its vibe almost as much as Texas football. I have lifted my glass a few times with Gary Williams and other terp power brokers over the years.

I am literally ill thinking about MARYLAND in the Big 10.

All the other moves were not big deals. The Big 12, MWC, and Big East (football teams) had only been around for maybe 10-15 years. There was no tradition.

But, Maryland was a founding member for 70+ years. They were arguably the 2nd or 3rd best overall athletics program after North Carolina across the board.

I am still in shock and revulsion about this move.

Losing Maryland does smart. But we did get Louisville in a trade so it aint that bad. BUt if you like MD. basketball I can understand how you feel.

Conference realignment sucks in a lot of ways but you know it aint over yet.

There were a lot of really good posters over on CBS along with the trolls. I sure hope the good ones all find their way over here.

NGS Forums is cool but there is a lot more traffic on this site and the posters over here do seem to be cooler.

Another long-time CBS poster here. Seeing some familiar faces. I even smiled (sort of) seeing HornsStampede. He finally amended his avatar after all these years, although I would prefer he had put the combined score of the last 3 years between OU and Texas, but he chose to include the overall W-L of OU-Texas back when the endzones were creeks. I guess you have to cling to something. We all need our security blankets.

Good to be here. I'm looking forward to seeing more familiar faces.

Yea, that was an awesome game for us. I still rewatch that final drive once every other week or so. "4th and 16" is a new battle cry for Clemson fans.

Yeah, that was awesome! I kept waiting for LSU to stop it like they usually do against ACC teams. Man, I was jumping up and down, somebody in our conference finally beat those guys! I was so happy I could have crapped roses.

If there is one thing I know about Horse..he is not a frontrunner...he still provided world class reach arounds when his teams weren't so good! That is a true fan...a losing streak..some spit..and a firm grip...Iron Horse in a nutshell
