Rather see Dez in the 3 hole and leave Maz in the two.

Wow, DDJ to Round Rock.

Without injury to the OF, wonder if he gets back any time soon. Choo coming back won't help his chances

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Pitcher Matt Bush, the No. 1 pick in the 2004 draft, will reach the majors for the first time after he is called up by the Texas Rangers.

Matt Bush making unlikely baseball comeback
Six months out of prison, the Rangers' latest reclamation project is throwing 100 mph and hoping to lose his rep as baseball's biggest bust.

Bush is expected to join the Rangers on Friday after spending more than three years in prison for driving under the influence and causing serious bodily injury in a 2012 crash in Florida. He signed a minor league deal with Texas after being released from prison in December.

The Rangers will promote Bush, 30, from Double-A Frisco, where he is 0-2 with a 2.65 ERA and five saves. He has 18 strikeouts and four walks in 17 innings.

Bush primarily uses an overpowering fastball, which consistently hovers around 97 mph.

Desmond goes from taking a terrible prove it contract to starting CF in a matter of months. Good for him

No kidding.....I was screaming for his hide not so long ago. ha ha

But it's his contract year, he seems like a really terrific guy, so I'm really hopeful he can prove to be a valuable piece for us this season, then ride off to a new destination with a big payday.

And after turning down a $100m contract, he better sign whatever contract gets put in front of him ASAP.

He's so athletic, so I appreciate his effort. I almost want him to stick around until Brinson is ready now.

Regardless of how well he does this season, that's gonna be a tough number for him to duplicate, offer wise.

He'll be 31 at the end of this season, so that kind of payday is hard to imagine. But hopefully, his versatility will help him some.

I'll be cheering for him to do well.

Oh he's not getting a 9 figure offer again. Ever. I'd be surprised to see him hit $50m, but if he comes in around .275/20/80 and proves he can play solid OF defense, he'll probably get 4/48 or some such.

Weren't we all. Really like what he brings to the table. Speed, strong arm and has really learned to play the OF. I have come around on his bat as well. He may not hit for a high average but he has power and will drive in some runs because of that.

I'm glad Delino is going down for now. Hopefully his DL stint is as helpful for him as it was for Roogie. Let's see what Rua can do and Maz just keep doing what you're doing!

I seldom listen to Sports talk radio anymore but had 103.3 on for 5 minutes and Dennis and Freido were lamenting one of their favorite players was being sent down in DDJ. Whereas I was excited because now Rua gets his opportunity. Hope DDJ does well and does not allow this to get in his head too much but gets things going like Odor did.

He's a mouth piece for the organization.

One of the worst mouth pieces in the league. His tweets are always filled with poor spelling and grammar, in addition to him usually not knowing wtf he is talking about most of the time.

Ya know, even if you're 20% off on the negative side of his stats for 2016, your prediction on the financial numbers are still pretty solid IMO.

Pie-in-the-sky, he'd get $70 mil from some delusional franchise.

Mazara has done fine hitting third in an extremely small sample size. Let's roll with it.
