Who was the best lefty hitting outfielder born in Donora, PA on November 21?
Griffey, but then again, I'm always biased towards modern players, and Musial is universally beloved.
Stan actually played HS ball with Junior's grandfather, Buddy....guess Donora must have been ahead of the times as far as race relations went
The only person I have seen say anything really bad about Musial was Joe Garagiola, who got involved in a bad business deal with Stan and ended up suing him. Joe intimated that Stan was a prick under the smily facade.
One of Stan's sons wrote that the only regret he had was that he never spent much time with his dad when he was a kid...if it wasn't baseball, his dad was gladhanding at the Stan & Biggie's restaurant. The kid said Stan had a major fear of sliding back into poverty and felt obligated to do whatever he could to maximize revenue at his place so he would feel his family was secure.
Separate names with a comma.
