Nebraska vs Texas

Nebraska and Texas are playing their opening game of the series tonight. Adam Bailey had a first inning solo home run to take an early 1-0 lead. Going into the 6th inning it was 1-1. Adam Bailey hit a double with 2 guys on base and scoring one of them. Cody Ashe came up a batter later and got a 2 run single to allow Nebraska to take a 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the 6th.


Casey Hauptman is matching the great Texas pitcher Taylor Jungman pitch for pitch so far.

Well that fucking sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nebraska took a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the 9th. Texas' Jordan Weymouth hits a 2 out double, Kevin Keyes gets walked on 4 pitches, and then Cameron Rupp hits a 3 run home run to win the game. Cameron Rupp is the same guy that hit a bottom of the 9th 2 out home run in the college world series last year that I still don't think has landed.

As of right now Nebraska is winning once again in the top of the 9th 5-3. It is great that they are winning but this is the same score that it was last night going into the bottom of the 9th. Right now Nebraska is up with 2 outs and guys on 2nd and 3rd.

In yesterday's game, offensively for Nebraska it was the Adam Bailey and Cody Asche show. Those 2 combined for 6 of the 7 Nebraska hits. So far in today's game Nebraska has 10 hits with 9 of them coming from the top 5 hitters. Adam Bailey has only 1 hit but it is a 2 run home run in the top of the 4th to tie the game at 2.

Texas is now coming to the plate in the bottom of the 9th being down by 2 runs. BTW, guess who is up 3rd in this inning? That is right, Cameron Rupp.
