Q: What is a recruit who is "the second coming of Christ?"

A: The second coming of Christ is any recruit who is rated at 4 stars or better by at least 1 recruiting service.

What is a recruit that decides its better to suck in the Royal farm system than play at Nebraska?

Actually he's set to visit the week after BRW... Ohio State is still the team to beat here. He will visit Nebraska after Ohio State. Hopefully we can sway him while he's here to not waste the money.

Good to have him after tosu

Sorry, got misinformed... he is visiting OSU AFTER he visits Nebraska... our job is to tell him to commit and convince him not to visit OSU on his own dime.

he has to pay for unofficials right now... it's out of his own pocket to visit both Nebraska and Ohio State. I mispoke before, he is visiting Ohio State AFTER he visits us, our job is to tell him not to spend anymore money because he knows that Nebraska is the place he needs to be.

Makes more sense now.

Yes, you're thinking of Alex Balke 6'3" 195 lb receiver was going to go to Iowa on a track scholarship (decatholon). Very athletic, I really like the pick up. Crowded room though.

Michigan just landed the number 1 CB and number 2 overall prospect in the country according to rivals.

Why the hell weren't we in on this kid? I thought we were making an effort to get in NJ.

We tried, he wasn't interested. He also told Alabama no.

What it all comes down to is Nebraska is just not a household name anymore......plain and simple. Thee kids who are 18 years old now don't remember what happened 18 years ago when Nebraska was dominant.

Same thing happened to programs like Oklahoma and Alabama. They made it back to elite status, but it took a while and they had their struggles too.

The recruits just aren't going to be interested until we start winning Championships. It's gotta start happening soon or we're gonna be treading ground that we already know for years.

Someone mentioned JUCO DL for this season... Fort Scott CC (Lavonte David, Jermarcus Hardrick, Stanely Jean-Baptiste, Brandon Kinnie) has been a bit of a feeder for us in the past and we are in on one of the top JUCO DTs in the nation, Abu Lamin is a massive human standing at 6'5" 310 pounds, he's got quick feet and powerful hands. He has offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, Auburn, Tennesee, and South Carolina among others.

Why is this big news? Because Lamin is a HUGE Ndamukong Suh AND Lavonte David fan. He's coming up to BRW and cannot stop talking about how excited he is. Nebraska failed miserably getting JUCO DTs last recruiting period, Lamin would be a massive get (no pun intended) if we could land him. He's a semester enrollee, so we'll know by December for sure.
