now i was on youtube and watch the holiday bowl and that made me think of this

it should not be called the wildcat, i dont like that at all... i dont remember who came up with this but the Bugeater

I believe Watson calls it the "Joker" and based on it's success in the bowl game I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of it next year. It could be the one thing that turns our offense from stagnant to very effective.

he played some QB in high school, he'll be able to throw some, not like a QB, but effective for the bugeater.

Niles Paul threw decent enough to do some trick plays

I would wager any of the RBs can throw a decent pass.... its just all about knowing if you should throw it or if its covered and you need to just get passed the LOS

I'll remain skeptic to the success we saw from the 'wildcat' (or whatever anyone wants to call it) in the Holiday Bowl.

The NU offense had near a month to practice it and Arizona's D had vanilla NU offense film to prepare. I think any kind of a wrinkle would have shown some success.

NU's defense had plenty of film on Arizona's offense to shut it down and they did.

well, if you use a gimmick too much, it's not a gimmick anymore.. and wats had his "perfect offense" back then and didn't want to ruin his erection using gimmick plays all the time.
