Do your fans/players actually care about trophy games?

I ask because it's kind of a big deal in the Big Ten conference as I'm sure you've noticed.

I also ask because OSU is one of the two schools(the other being PSU) that don't give a damn about any trophies or trophy games.

I didn't even know about the Nebraska Missouri Bell until I played NCCAA Football with a cousin a few years back. Still have never seen the real one. So no rivalry trophies mean nothing. But Huskers 1217 and JJM have it right. CC and NC trophies are all that matter. Anything short is a failure...

and to answer the OP... we have had many trophy type games... but fan base/players don't pay much attention to them... more for the brass or business side of the sport... which normally don't include coaches, players and fans...

That's true of Wisconsin more and more as well.

Minnesota is not competitive as a rival and the new division set up took away our other trophy game with Iowa. The games Badger fans care most about are tOSU and increasingly MSU (for obvious reasons).
