NCIS and spin-offs (Los Angeles and New Orleans)

New series spinoff to begin in the spring...hopefully it makes the cut for the fall season.

I like the original series that takes place in Va. but I'm not into the L.A. series.

This new one might be decent.

I doubt I will watch the first season, just so I don't get my hopes up and then it gets canned. Like you I love NCIS, but can't stand L.A. either.

The whole NCIS thing for me is Gibbs, he's the show, I can't see this one being as good, I cant stand the LA one.........

The Jethro Gibbs character was tailor made for Mark Harmon...he's great.....and so too are the rest of the cast..especially Ducky (David McCallum), and Abbie (Pauley Perrette).
Cote de Pablo (Ziva) will be missed, but I'm starting to warm up to the new girl.
Always liked Scott Bakula, hope it succeeds.

Keep NCIS original and LA and LEAVE IT AT THAT! I mean it's not like these two shows don't go elsewhere and say "oh well need NCIS New Orleans or Mass help.... There doesn't need to be a show about it

Totally and I honestly like Bakula in other stuff he's done, so it would be very interesting to see this one, the whole LA to me, just never got into like some of the cast but it just wasn't the same, everyone is gonna have different OP on it...

yeah I don't remember what the name was. Just remember they were using the NCIS shows to try & make the spin off.

Yes, "Red" was going to be the name of that show (or "Red Team" or "NCIS: Red", or something like that), but the show was never picked up. I thought the hijack-pilot was pretty piss-poor, so I was glad it never saw the light of day.

I like Bakula, so that s a good start. I just hope they avoid the Super-Spy theme they have going on LA.

I enjoy both flavors of NCIS. My concern here is that they are spreading storylines and all the shows will become weaker because of it. Then there is also the numb feeling of different versions like CSI.

I like the direction NCIS has taken the past few seasons, where they are on the hunt for a national terrorist during the majority of the season. Although, I was kind of surprised to see them take out Benham Parsa this week.

Just wait until the NCIS worlds start colliding on a regular basis (not just a launch platform for these spinoffs), and then the real end will be when NCIS starts linking up with other non-NCIS shows. When you see NCIS and CSI crossovers, the end is near.

Happy Days (Laverne and Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Joanie loves Chaci) but JAG would be then tied with it. Sorry, too lazy to do the research.
