The guy's point me be valid overall in that you're never going to please everyone, but to say that only anonymous people are willing to take shots at Pierre is a joke.

The first post they quote where the guy says if Pierre could just dial it back a bit is pretty much how I feel. The passion and knowledge is obvious, but if he could just extract himself from the jock of a few players he would be so much more tolerable.

we should celebrate this statement ... dont recall ever seeing it in print

"MLB and FOX got creamed when they went head to head with hockey, and for good reason"

Baseball Night in America finishes a disappointing season | July | 2013

the regular season baseball games on fox had ratings similar to what some regular season hockey games were getting on nbcsn

last week i saw a "2013 tv ratings for top 50 sports events (to date)" and no baseball was on there ... hockey was (some playoff games and i believe 1 regular season game ... i realize baseball is very local broadcast reliant (hockey is too though!) but the national games on fox were getting blacked out locally so its a pretty good barometer to compare to hockey

that being said ... MLB playoffs get much higher number than ANY hockey game & the Red Sox/Yankees game saturday would have instantly landed on that top 50 sports events ratings list
