Because Lowry is damn near 35 and ain't bringing back a kings ransom and they are taking into consideration where he'll want to go for his years of service there and helping bring them a title. And trades him out of the EC.

Schroder is a decent PG and Lowry is also a pending FA. KCP isn't overpaid when shooters get paid.

They aren't getting a ton for Lowry.

probably better than losing Hayward for nothing, but clearly not as good as taking turner McDermott and Indy’s first as the rumor was.
