Not true. There hasn't been an increase in injuries, but that doesn't mean there isn't risk.
Nope. The way in which we measure risk is seen in data. There is no increased risk on this play.
Pressure from both sides on the human body (and a loss of personal body control when propelled forward by a push) increases risk.
No more so than the down in and down out innate risk to playing a physical game like football. It’s simple physics. The distance is shortened which reduces the speed impacting the force problem.

Did some checking and best could find was Brissett was 25-26 on QB sneaks thru Sept, 2022. Not sure since. No push needed.

I don't think the issue is whether it's "needed" or not. Hurt leg presses over 600lbs and has one of the top centers in the league blocking for him...so they don't "need" it either.

The question is whether or not they should ban it. While I ultimately don't care if they do, I don't think they should.

I do think the Eagles have been fortunate in that regard but they have certainly perfected it
“Fortunate” isn’t the right word. Many teams at both the pro and collegiate levels have employed this technique but only the Eagles have created absurd conversion metrics using the play.

The NFL is just counting injuries and relying on someone's opinion if they were affected by being propelled from behind.

Simple logic would indicate that the ball carrier has less control over his direction when pushed from behind and the pressure is now coming from multiple in front and behind. Sneaks are a risk on their own.
If this were a case of “simple logic” there would be data to back up your point of view. There is no data to support your conclusions.

The NFL found no injuries to report.

And yet...in 3 years...no injuries.

Already said don't care too much if they ban or not......IF they want to simple reason can be going back to rule cannot push your own ballcarrier (but do they want to do that with every ball carrier)?

I always thought that should be legal. Never understood why it wasn't.

Well yeah, that and a bunch of owners apparently.
Not enough.
If they do ban it you should be thankfully it happened before Hurts get injured doing it. Just a matter of time.
It’s not a high injury instance play. The Eagles aren’t going to stop running QB sneak.

Injury and injury risk are two different things, correct? Is this too difficult a question? We're talking about a relatively rare play. The first injury they recognize as a result of this play will instantly he statistically important, percentage wise.

Injury isn't even why I want the play gone. It didn't exist before and is a mockery of the game as I know it IMO. Why should the offense get the benefit of the doubt with forward progress if the defense doesn't get credit for stopping the ball carrier (only to have offensive linemen push him forward)? If you can push the ball carrier forward, the defense should be able to move the line gained back by continuing to push the ball carrier backwards.
