anyone here watching Severance? Hear nothing but good things. Made it to episode 5 and have to say seems boring as hell....but I keep watching as so many seem to like it. Does it get better? If this were not the case I'd have been done after episode 1 or 2.

Yes the qb sneak, of which there is some semblance of strategy and he isn't gaining yards because his lineman shoves him in the back.

Prob a poor anecdote but my sons team lost in the playoffs last year because the team we played did a beast set and some variation of this push literally all fucking game. They got 3 to 4 yards each play, they scored all of 7 pts (we failed on a 2 pt) and beat us 7 to 6 because we beat them earlier in the year. It was a painful game to watch. They cheat coded their way to a win. It was gay as fuck.

I see no value in playing the game like that.
The Eagles scored 145 points in 4 playoff games. It’s a play they’ll use 4-5 times a game tops and often 1-2 times. It’s only being targeted because they’ve perfected the play. Ironically, the Eagles will still be the best sneak team in the league when it gets banned (and it will get banned; that’s why they tabled the vote. They will bang this drum until Jerry Jones, and the Maras, and the Packers get their way.) because they have a QB who squats 600 pounds, the biggest OL to have ever started a Super Bowl, and a guru offensive line coach who coaches the leverage of this play better than anyone.

You guys earned your super bowl. And I was absolutely pulling for the Eagles against the Chiefs. Not the reason for my opinion on this at all.

And if they change it again it will be because the Eagles created the unstoppable play. I think youre just bitter because the Bills season ended because they fucked this play up.

Nah, they got the first. The mass of humanity prevented the refs from being able to effectively review and correct the call.

I wasn’t coming for you personally. I’m saying the only reason this has been explored twice by the league and certain owners won’t stop until it’s banned is because the Eagles have gotten hella good at it.

If Josh Allen learned to switch up his snap count and not be a robot, they get the yards and there’s no doubt.

With all of this, the added guy(s) pushing your expensive QB into a pile of humanity isn't (A) necessary or (B) a reasonable risk.

Did some checking and best could find was Brissett was 25-26 on QB sneaks thru Sept, 2022. Not sure since. No push needed.

Because one team is much better at it than the rest of the league. The QB sneak has been a football play for decades.
No problem with the qb sneak. The push is just part of a bigger issue that needs to be banned.

There is no increased risk. 3 years worth of data has proven that.

Not true. There hasn't been an increase in injuries, but that doesn't mean there isn't risk. Pressure from both sides on the human body (and a loss of personal body control when propelled forward by a push) increases risk.

I do think the Eagles have been fortunate in that regard but they have certainly perfected it

What data exists to back up the bold?

The NFL couldn't find any.

The NFL is just counting injuries and relying on someone's opinion if they were affected by being propelled from behind.

Simple logic would indicate that the ball carrier has less control over his direction when pushed from behind and the pressure is now coming from multiple in front and behind. Sneaks are a risk on their own.
