Probably so. They didn’t have to ask for it if they didn’t really care. Detroit won their division but Minnesota got fucked by going 14-3 and had to go away and play a 10-7 team

And would’ve lost if the game was on the moon because of how bad darnold was

Dart a solid option too. I've only watched a few highlight reels (not the best indicators lol), but I actually like Dart's tape better than Sanders'. Sanders seems to through a lot of floaters IMO.

Yeah he’s got all kinds of tools but played in a gimmicky one read offense

Forced the ball to Harris a lot Imo

Yeah my first thought was I like it but those making the latter case is a compelling argument. Though I guess to that could say even if 8-9 winning division would mean something with that record as gets them into playoffs?

It's not like those two teams play the same schedule. It wasn't the case this time, but a lower overall record could be the result of a much tougher schedule and more competitive division.

Again, the Vikings had the opportunity to win their division but lost both games vs the Lions. Plus, Rams beat them head to head in season.

It's not broke, so don't fix it. If you don't want the division winner to be noteworthy for seeding, get rid of the divisions.

I guess this is the eye of the beholder. The NFC West seemed like a tallest midget contest this season. The division was “competitive” because it was three mediocre teams and the Rams plagued by injuries.

I think it is broke though. We’ve seen teams with losing records hosting layoff games, 8-8 teams hosting playoff games. Doesn’t seem right.

Just do it like the NBA. Division winner gets you a playoff spot but seed according to record.

Pretty sure the NBA doesn’t do that anymore. I think it’s purely by record, divisions are just decorative now it just guarantees you play 4 times vs the other teams in the division

Thanks. I think you’re right. At the same time, I don’t know if it’s ever happened that a division winner didn’t make the field.

I would wager the Niners are going to expect Purdy to sigh for about $40 mil a season

Not sure anyone but the Niners will give him that though, we will see

Yeah, you are wrong here.

If he were to hit the open market, he would get more, not less.

Might even get Josh Allen money.

I have always believed Purdy was okay, not great. But these guys don’t get to free agency almost ever.

Kirk Cousins was the league’s highest paid QB when he signed in Minnesota.
