Let him fall into the laps of the Raiders.

Might draft him and still sign a vet QB to start the season. Let Sanders sit and learn. And earn the damn job, not have it given to him.
You can have him

Of course.

And the Commanders were always taking Daniels there.

This isn’t the Daniel Snyder era anymore
The only team whose decision should be questioned at this point is the Bears.

Not Alex smith lol

Ummm…

Alex Smith was pretty good. He was a winner.

99-67-1 career record in games he started, more than 11 wins 4 times and perhaps most impressively, he had an 11-5 record across 2 seasons with the Commanders.

Not anywhere close to elite, but put him with talent and he could absolutely get the job done.

In the regular season.

I don't think he will be elite but if he gets a team that has a good OL and some good skill position players he can be a good QB.
Is that what you want for the Raiders again? A good qb. Carr was a good qb for years. Good qb’s put you in middle ground of the league

It is definitely not what you aspire to get with an early draft pick.

But I think most teams would be quite happy with a good QB as long as they can load up on talent everywhere else.

Jalen Hurts is an example of that. It works sometimes.

Yeah when Hurts was drafted he wasn’t a very good passer. I think his improvement + his ridiculous athleticism helped a ton. Having a guy with great athleticism can make up for weaknesses but yeah they built a beast around him

Other areas of the team need to be top of the league for a good qb to work

We shore up the OL, sign somebody (not necessarily him) like Najee Harris, add some to the defense and I think they can be good.

I don't think you need an elite QB. Hurts definitely isn't elite. But, he is a good one.
