How were the Raiders going to trade for Daniels?

Commanders were never trading that pick.

Because Commanders heard a couple guys who have never run a draft heard it was happening?

I get what you are saying but not so sure about this. Browns had really good OLs and some solid or better WRs and QBs who were awful.

LeCharles Bentley often said if you want a good OL just find a QB who is smart, accurate and makes quick decisions. as to the WRs? I'd say QBs make them more than other way around.

Snyder may have had issues behind the scenes but from day 1 he seemed to invest in the team

Let them be aggressive

That dude rolling up on rg3’s knee was not good

Not fully guaranteeing cousins, I mean he’s fine. But he easily could’ve been watson

But my comment was pretty much sarcasm since if Washington really loved Daniels and figured they'd get him they were not trading that pick.

I ASKED if you were saying you should. If your answer is no then cool. You can stop waiting.

FYI, they are often wrong and make things up. But as to THIS thread if you can stay on topic I did my best to try and help you.....if Washington loved Daniels - which they likely did - and thought they could get him they were not trading the pick for anything realistic.

But they fell in love with Daniels during the predraft process and they were in desperate need of a franchise QB.

There was no reason for them to entertain trade offers unless it was like double what the market usually bears for a 1.1 pick.

And that wasn’t happening.

There was so much wrong with the way the Commanders/skins were run in the Snyder era.

Yes he was willing to spend. But he was also responsible for a horrific organizational culture.

And as much as I loved the rookie season with RG3, it was never going to last with or without the injury. He was getting preferential treatment from Snyder that allowed him to dictate way too much. He wanted to move away from what made him successful in the first place and defenses usually figure out guys like him when given enough time for fi study.

I agree with everything you said and should be obvious (though guess not to dj)........was just mentioning how most fans see things which is they believe what "experts" tell them.

In fact this would not be true, which means you lied. Ironic, huh?....but by now would hope you have learned that FOs in NFL and NBA are like the CIA when it comes to trade, draft and FA intel. Especially draft/trade intel when it comes to deals involving an upcoming draft. Hell, often the top guys in the FO wont even tell others in the organization what they want to do for fear it leaks.
