Lakers beat the Kangz 103-99 and USC women beat UConn 72-70.

Today I didn't even have to use my AK.

Gotta say it was a good day.

Good game too.

USC was up 13 at halftime and their lead reached 18 in the 3rd quarter. Knew UConn would make a run and they did. The lead was down to 6 going into the 4th. The 4th quarter was back and forth. USC was up 72-69, but Juju fouled a UConn player shooting a 3 with 5 seconds left. She hit the first, missed the 2nd and had to intentionally miss the 3rd. UConn got the rebound...but missed a desperation 3 at the buzzer.

USC's coach was like...

Great job by Chip and this coaching staff after that terrible loss. Team looked ready and had a great gameplan. Vols had one of the best defenses all year and destroying them. Gotta keep it up for Oregon, they are a different beast

I think the point to all of this, if there is one, is that 12 teams is more than enough. There will be years where a 9-12 seed does well, it wasn’t this year.
