He’s not in Riley’s league offensive wise, he’s just not. I give Day credit for knowing to let Grinch walk though, he is awful.
He certainly didn’t over anything at OU, he was horrible. Riley literally doesn’t care about defense though, I mean none.
I happen to like Riley but not in his league? Based on what (please offer more than eye test)? Offenses are often as good or better than his. He has gotten a few QBs picked in round 1 of the draft after none for so long. Has won a playoff game, while Riley has not and is rarely even close when his team makes the playoff. Maybe Riley just cannot always get engaged for those playoff games?
Talent is always an issue but some things are a mindset too. Answer this, do you see a program where the coach doesn’t allow hitting in practice will succeed in the SEC?
You are getting mixed up, Day has proven thus far to be by far the better head coach. Riley’s reputation is the qb guru, a lot of his stuff has been copied even in the nfl.
we can also focus solely on O if you want. Day's offenses have been elite and he has done pretty well with QBs, as well. Hate to say this about him under circumstances, but Haskins was not nearly as good as he had him playing. Despite often having weak defenses we have been able to win a playoff game under him (mostly because of the O) and go up and down the field against the team considered the top D last season.
Agree to disagree then, I think most would acknowledge by reputation it’s Riley on offense. Honestly I don’t care, I experienced all I need to of the guy.

Went at 24 after I picked at 22. Knew Waddle wouldn’t be around at 27. Risked the biscuit and lost haha. We will see which guy has the better fantasy campaign. Gun to my head now…I’m thinking it’s Waddle but we will see.
