My only issue with the celebrating is that guys seem to feel like they have to outdo each other, so they start coming up with a bunch of choreographed stuff or bringing in props.

Spontaneous celebrations or ones that guys come up with that are short and they do all the time are cool. Like, who was the Pacific Islander tight end that used to pretend the football was a pineapple and would take the top off to drink the juice or something and then I think he'd spin the ball. That was a pretty cool one.

If they're going to throw the flag on that, they should throw the flag on every spun ball and first down gesture, not to mention end zone celebration.
I thought that was nuts to throw the flag there, too.....but I didn't mind, I guess.

I kind of like the TD celebrations but the endless ones after a first down or even a catch that is not a first down can get annoying....especially when the guy's team is getting stomped.

I personally hate the over-celebration of completing a play, wish it would go away. Flags aren't the best answer, but an answer none the less...

So players should show no emotion?

Make a big deflection on a crucial play in the 4th and these clowns expect you to show no emotion

3 QB's with 4k yards passing and 10 or less INT's the last 2 seasons.

Mahomes.

Rodgers.

And Carr.
You should preach that to yourself, you were wanting the Raiders to trade him and roll with Mariota LOL

Now you are propping him up. I'm the one that said he was underrated.

Pick a side.

You understand there's a difference between "over-celebrating" and "showing no emotion"...or nah?

Have you seen most of the taunting penalties? Most of them are not over-celebration. It is players showing emotion. Out of the 11, i say 1 or 2 was over-celebrating

Most of the ones that I've seen have generally involved standing over another player.

But that wasn't what you were addressing with your "so they're supposed to show no emotion" comment. You were addressing a quote from another poster who clearly said "over-celebrating" and also said that he didn't think throwing a flag is the best answer, but is an answer.

A crucial play in the 4th? Sure....have at it. A first down on your own 30 down 3 scores? Meh.

Never mind no one said what you are claiming.

Saw earlier today Landry's on the IR. Not good. But Mayfield not having his top two wr's is no reason for him to have a bad game. Because all QB's in the league really don't rely on their wr's that much. Did I do that right?

Haha......more comical is the guy actually played pretty well considering top 2 WRs out AND he was playing with a bad limb.

He's a former # 1 pick that was a massive douchebag his rookie year. Some won't look past that. But expectations for him are a little different because of where he was drafted. For some no matter what he does he'll be criticized. But without a doubt he needs to build on what he did last season and be even better. He does that and the nitpicking will mostly stop.

Heard on sportscenter there's a chance J. Fields will make his first career start this weekend. Dalton's not 100%. And the game will be televised out here. Hell yeah.

Injuries aren't an excuse. Jack Youngblood played on a broken leg. A bad thumb. What he couldn't throw the ball with his other hand?

Of course it matters.

However, the best part of Cleveland’s offense is always going to be the running backs and the O-line.

Defenses have to focus on that first. WR talent matters less for a team that has such a dynamic run game. Mediocre WRs should be able to beat man coverage.

It requires a special kind of talent to sprain both ankles

As someone who has had far more than his fair share of sprained ankles and has pretty much sprained ankles every way possible...I have to say I'm impressed.

I've never managed to pull off the elusive ''double sprain''.
