Nope what I did was make a mistake by calling it below even though the numbers I used showed I knew he said above avg. Some form of dyslexia? No clue why.

as for the rest, it's just you being you and incapable of admitting you are off base. For you to say baker is Eli that would mean for your friend to have "nailed it" you think Eli was slightly above average (as your friend called baker). Let's make it easy. Is Eli Manning a slightly above average QB?

There is no getting around you saying he came up with the pearl of wisdom that a QB can be better in a system built to his strengths than one that is not. That's high level info there. I wonder what 1 team might have paid to keep it away from other teams.

No, I said Eli to try to contextualize his information since I obviously can’t reveal details. My friend never said Eli Manning.

And yeah, Eli was usually somewhere between 8th and 12th best QB in the league during his prime. He just happened to get a couple Super Bowls.

Which is right where I think Baker can be.

Yes. Eli Manning was a slightly above average franchise QB who happened to achieve a lot.

he was never thought to be among the elites at his position in any given year. He wasn’t the type of QB you pick early in a fantasy draft like you would with Rodgers, Brady or Brees.

had a feeling we'd pull it off, but that was WAY too close for comfort. CEH should be good to go by playoff time, especially if we can pull down that #1 seed...

oh, and don't let WiggityWack make any more predictions. I mean he cast shade at BOTH the Chiefs and the Lakers and i got 2 titles for it. i SHOULD send the guy a Christmas gift...

looking at our depth at RB i'd lean towards the former, though with Reid he'll likely pull something else out of his Madden video game playbook...

I just like watching Mahomes play. He makes it look so easy. It's really unfair. L. Bell looks like a smart pick up now. Has he had any real production since joining the Chiefs? If he can play good the offense won't skip a beat.

I actually said he was above average. Just not comparable to Mahomes, which Wiggy was trying to do.

The Lakers made the roster moves they needed and got better. You have no idea how awful it was to type that. But it wouldn't be a real season without one of his over the top predictions. We need the laughter.

Freddie was a disaster. Glad he's gone. Mayfield had a good rookie year in someone elses offense. Then he's in Freddie's and regressed. Now with Stephanski he's having a decent season.

agree was nuts, but saw this from a friend and it floored me (have not checked as don't have access to PFF)......

PFF has Baker rated as the #2 QB in the entire league since week 7, in a virtual tie with Mahomes. That's half a season, and that includes games played in horrific weather. A legit case can be made that Baker has been the best QB in all of football during that timeframe. In his first year in a new system.

think of all that Baker has had against him.

Drafted into a team that was 1-31 the previous 2 years. 1-31

Went from Hue Jackson as head coach. To Greg Williams. To Freddie Kitchens in a 2 year span. Had Hue's system, then Haley's system, then Freddie's system in a 2 year span on offense.

They hire Stefanski. They hire a new D coordinator. A rookie coach is supposed to have extra off season mini-camps. All of that is cancelled because of Covid. The preseason is eliminated. There is no time to put in a new system on either side of the ball. Baker is now in his 4th new system with Stefanski.

Pretty crazy when you think about it.
