Yes...I think I could handle that and why it's one of the only areas I'll rip a HC. As fans we know little about playcalling/Xs and Os. Usually when fans complain we only know the result. Not the playcall, the presnap reads messaged to the QB from the OC, what the QB saw and why he made the play he did, etc.

I can scheme like a mother fuck. Where I needed work as a defensive coordinator is in sequencing my calls and finding the right mix of best call and working in the change up to keep them guessing.

Maybe he didn’t see the play bc he tripped over a camera guy? Maybe the rim was crooked and that was more important but he decided not to say anything? Or maybe a drink was thrown on him and he was trying to figure out whether it was pepsi or coke? Or maybe he was too dumb to put 2 and 2 together to figure out the right outcome?

All 4 are reasonable options. All that matters is they won, right?
