I think you missed the point of his tweet. He wasn't saying the WR should opted out. His bigger issue is with the field turf

Never said the kid should opt out of national title game. He think field turf is trash and had a rant on it when that Cowboys WR (Gallop) tore his ACL a few weeks ago on field turf as well. His other point is he see why kids are opting out of bowl games (Key word here is BOWL game. Not national title). There are a decent amount of bowl games played on field turf

Teams who play indoors should go the Raiders route and get natural grass in their stadiums but there is also the other side of it where i feel like you can't blame field turf for an possible ACL tear. Those happens on natural grass as well
